About Carolyn
I am a fundraising and communications consultant with more than 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector.
I began my career in book publishing, then entered the nonprofit world in 2003 as a writer and editor for the UN Development Programme (UNDP). I later spent nine years at amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, working for the public information and philanthropy departments.
As an independent consultant since 2016, I work with nonprofits and international development organizations to generate awareness and funds for their missions. My grant proposals raise more than $2 million per year for my clients. I am also well versed in direct mail marketing, copywriting, and editing. By cultivating a wide range of clients, I have developed subject-matter expertise in HIV/AIDS, global and public health, homelessness, LGBTQ+ rights, economic development, financial inclusion, and animal welfare.
I enjoy learning from my clients and helping them share their visions for a better world with donors and the public.
